San José de La Rinconada, Sevilla

San José de La Rinconada is a large subsidiary that has emerged within the municipality of La Rinconada, in the province of Seville. It has up to 15,000 inhabitants, being a large population centre that is growing significantly over the years.

It arose due to the settlement of emigrants from other parts of the province, the region, Spain and Portugal and their attempt to work in the Guadalquivir sugar factories.

The successive creation of work in the agricultural sector meant that the arrival of people continued throughout the 20th century, and it came to be considered a new district of La Rinconada.

Its economy is therefore based on agriculture, being one of the agricultural villages with the most buoyant economy in the whole country. In addition, construction also plays an important role, as the constant arrival of workers has led to an increase in construction in the neighbourhood.

It is located in a beautiful geographical area, where the use of natural resources, extensive fields and lush forests make this place one of the most special in the province.
